FotoPal vs Spiro: a Spiro alternative with editing, Xero and Apple apps

FotoPal is a Spiro alternative for real estate photographers who want AI editing, GST or sales-tax invoicing into Xero and native Apple apps in the same system as ordering, scheduling and delivery, on a flat plan in Australian, New Zealand or US dollars rather than a fee per job.

Spiro charges a flat $5 per completed job with no subscription, invoiced monthly, and covers client ordering, automatic scheduling, editor management, branded delivery and property websites; it does not publish mobile apps, calendar sync, a currency code or a Xero integration.

Facts checked against each vendor’s own site (sources below). FotoPal’s column is read from its price list and facts page.

Who should pick which

Choose Spiro if

  • You want to pay only when a job is completed and never carry a subscription.
  • You manage a team of outside editors and want jobs assigned to them automatically.
  • Property websites and agent marketing kits matter more to you than photo editing in the platform.

Choose FotoPal if

  • You want the editing done in the platform, with a monthly allowance and metered extras, and your approval on every image.
  • You invoice in AUD, NZD or USD with per-line GST or sales tax and want it in Xero without re-keying.
  • Your photographers need the day on iPhone, Apple Watch and CarPlay, offline, with a mileage log.

Questions

Asked before choosing

How does Spiro’s $5 per job compare with a FotoPal plan?

Spiro bills $5 for each completed job or standalone delivery page, totalled monthly, currency unstated, with nothing to pay until the first job. FotoPal is A$79 a month including GST on Studio (NZ$89 with no GST charged, or US$55 before tax), with unlimited listings, 100 AI-edited photos included and no per-job fee, or the Free plan for 5 listings a month at no cost.

Does Spiro edit photos?

Spiro’s site describes managing editors and assigning editing jobs automatically, tracking delivery tasks in one system; it does not describe enhancing the photographs itself. FotoPal’s editor, Pal, merges the RAW brackets, pulls windows, straightens verticals, applies the ten one-click fixes, and offers day to dusk, virtual staging and a 3D floor plan render, with you approving each image before delivery.

Does Spiro have a mobile app or Xero integration?

Neither is published on Spiro’s site at the date on this page: its pages describe shoot-day communication and real-time tracking but name no app, and list no accounting integration or currency. FotoPal has FotoPal Studio on the App Store for iPhone and iPad with Apple Watch and CarPlay, and posts invoices to Xero on every plan.
