In one paragraph

What is FotoPal Real Estate?

FotoPal Real Estate is real estate photography studio software for Australia, New Zealand and the United States, made in Adelaide, South Australia, by JR Photo and Video Pty Ltd (ABN 15 677 761 787). Agents book shoots against the photographer’s real calendar and drive times; photographers upload RAW brackets; FotoPal merges and enhances them with AI, proofs, delivers branded galleries with floor plans, video and copy, and invoices in the studio’s own currency, with per-line GST or sales tax, straight into Xero.

It runs on the web and in native Apple apps — FotoPal Studio for iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch and CarPlay (on the App Store), FotoPal Agent for agents (in review) and FotoPal Vision for Apple Vision Pro (on the App Store). Plans start free; paid plans from A$79 a month including GST, NZ$89 in New Zealand with no GST charged, or US$55 before tax.

For studio owners

FotoPal gives a multi-photographer studio a dispatch board with drive times, auto-scheduling that proposes the day for approval, per-agency billing cycles, contractor pay runs, and your own domain on galleries. Studio Pro includes 10 photographers and unlimited office logins for A$199 a month.

How it works

Book → Shoot → Deliver → Get paid

One system carries the job from the agent’s first click to the money in your account. No re-keying between four tools, no return visit for every gallery.

  1. 1. Book

Agents and their assistants book from your link — package, address, access notes — against your real availability, with the drive time already counted. Anything outside your rules comes to you as a request, not a refusal.

  2. 2. Shoot

Your day on your phone and your watch: jobs, lockbox codes, directions, arrival and departure. Drop the RAW brackets when you are done and walk away.

  3. 3. Deliver

FotoPal groups the brackets, enhances, proofs and names the files the way each agency wants them, then puts photos, plans, video and copy on one branded page.

  4. 4. Get paid

The invoice writes itself off the booking in your own currency — every line with its tax (GST in Australia and New Zealand, sales tax in the US) and Xero code — and the gallery unlocks when the money lands.

Booking

Agents book themselves. Properly.

Real availability from your calendar, drive time between jobs with traffic, and a service area you set — including the ferry. Two working days’ notice to auto-confirm; anything inside that, outside the fence, or unusual comes to you as a request, never a refusal.

Only decisions interrupt you. Everything else is in the 6pm summary.

Editing

AI real estate photo editing: RAW brackets in, delivery-ready out.

Drop the brackets. FotoPal groups them, merges the exposures, pulls the windows, straightens the verticals and gives you finished files to approve — you keep the final say on every image before it ships.

The phone line · Studio Pro Plus

Your studio answers the phone. So do you.

Part of Studio Pro Plus: your own phone lines, a CRM, and SMS and email to agents and vendors, on top of everything in Studio Pro. Priced separately; see plans.

Agents ring and book. The line quotes from your live price list, checks real availability and the drive, verifies the caller by text, and puts the request in your queue. It cannot confirm a job or touch an invoice.

You ring and command. Give your PIN, then have a job booked, confirmed or moved between shoots — without pulling over.

Trained, not abandoned. FotoPal University and in-app help for your team and your agents, so nobody rings you to ask where the download button is. An optional CRM, supplied and set up by JR Digital Hub, runs follow-ups, reviews and reminders.

Questions

The questions studios ask first

What is FotoPal?

FotoPal is booking, AI editing, delivery and invoicing for real estate photographers, in one system. Agents book from your link against your real calendar with drive time counted; you upload the RAW brackets; FotoPal merges and enhances them, proofs them, delivers one branded gallery and writes the invoice, with per-line GST or sales tax, into Xero. It is made in Adelaide by JR Photo and Video Pty Ltd for studios in Australia, New Zealand and the United States.

Is FotoPal available in Australia, New Zealand and the US?

Yes, in all three. Australian studios pay in Australian dollars including GST, New Zealand studios in New Zealand dollars with no GST charged, and US studios in US dollars before sales tax. Each studio invoices its agencies in its own currency with its own tax, GST or sales tax, into Xero, and FotoPal Studio is on the App Store in all three countries. FotoPal is built and run in Adelaide by JR Photo and Video Pty Ltd.

Does FotoPal integrate with Xero?

Yes, on every plan including Free. Xero is sold in Australia, New Zealand and the US. The invoice is written from the booking in your currency, every line carrying its tax (GST or sales tax) and Xero account code; travel and no-show fees are their own lines, and payments reconciled in Xero are posted back to FotoPal. Studio Pro and Studio Pro Plus also run contractor pay, with a draft bill posted to Xero for each pay run.

Who does the photo editing?

FotoPal does, with its own AI editor, Pal. You drop the RAW brackets; Pal groups them, merges the exposures, pulls the windows, straightens the verticals and offers one-click fixes for pool water, driveway stains, cars, bins, pets, lawn, the letterbox number, the TV screen, the fireplace and the photographer in the mirror. You approve every image before it ships.

Can agents book shoots themselves?

Yes, on Studio and above. Agents and their assistants book from your link against your real calendar, with drive time between jobs and your service area applied. Two working days' notice confirms automatically; a request inside that, outside your area or unusual comes to you to decide rather than being refused. The FotoPal Agent app is coming soon to the App Store.

Is there a free plan?

Yes. The Free plan is A$0 for one photographer and 5 listings a month, with the client portal, delivery galleries, invoicing with Xero sync and the agent app's gallery view. AI editing on Free is pay as you go with a card on file. Paid plans come with 30 days of every feature, no card.

Does FotoPal do floor plans, video and virtual staging?

Yes. Order the floor plan from the booking and FotoPal adds its own 3D dollhouse render. Stage a room across every angle you shot, with a check that no wall moved. Draw the block boundary on the aerial and deliver both the clean and the marked-up file. Photos, plans, video and listing copy all land on the one branded gallery page.

Who made it

Made in Adelaide by a photographer still on the tools

FotoPal is the platform I run my own real-estate photography business on. I built it because I was doing the booking, the editing and the invoicing at night, for agents who wanted the photos by morning.

Every screen in it has been used on a real shoot day. When something is slow or wrong, I feel it before you do.

— Jeff Richardson, founder

The studio is JR Photo and Video, Adelaide and rural South Australia, shooting since 2010.
