FotoPal Templates · For studios that design products

Photo template software for composites, cards and print products, without Photoshop.

FotoPal Templates is a template builder and render engine for photography studios. Import a Photoshop PSD, connect its layers to your data, then render personalised team composites, cards and print products in batches from a spreadsheet and a folder of images, as JPEG, PNG or print-ready PDF with bleed. Photoshop is not needed to render.

Not on sale yet. FotoPal Templates is in development as its own product.

01Features

What FotoPal Templates does

  • Start from the PSDs you already have

Import a Photoshop file and get a clear report of what came across, what needs a look and what did not. Text, image and group layers become fields you can fill from data.

  • Fonts that are exactly right

Club and school fonts are part of their style guides, so they must be exact. A PSD with missing fonts stops at a step that lists each one: upload it, or choose a substitute. Fonts are never swapped silently.

    • Font libraries per studio and per club, with a licence confirmation on upload
    • The same font files for the on-screen preview and the print file
  • Batches from a spreadsheet

Upload a spreadsheet and a zip of images and render every row. Column names studios already use for template work, such as SPA, TEAMNAME, SPATEXT1–5 and SHOW LAYER, are read as they are.

  • Print-ready output

Render JPEG or PNG for screens, or PDF with bleed for print, at the size each product needs.

  • An API for your own systems

Render from your own software with API keys, safe retries and signed webhooks that tell you when a batch is done.

  • The same engine as FotoPal Sports

FotoPal Sports and FotoPal Schools render their composites with this engine, so a template looks the same wherever it is used.

04Questions

Questions about FotoPal Templates

Plain answers to what studios ask us first. Something else? Email support@fotopal.ai.

Do I need Photoshop to use FotoPal Templates?

Only to design a template if you prefer working in Photoshop. FotoPal Templates imports the PSD, and from then on every render happens in FotoPal: the names, numbers and photos come from your data, and the output is produced without opening Photoshop.

Can I use the composite templates I already have?

Yes, if they are Photoshop PSD files. The import shows what came across cleanly, what needs a check and what could not be used, and lists any fonts that are missing. Spreadsheets laid out with the column names studios commonly use for template work, such as SPA and TEAMNAME, are read as they are.

How does FotoPal Templates handle club fonts?

Fonts are kept exact. You upload a club’s or studio’s fonts to a font library and confirm you are licensed to use them. If a PSD needs a font that is not in the library, the import stops and asks you to upload it or choose a substitute, and the preview and the print file use the same font files.

What files does FotoPal Templates produce?

JPEG or PNG images for screens and online galleries, and PDF files with bleed for print. Each row in your spreadsheet becomes one personalised product, so a whole team’s cards or a school’s set of composites renders in one batch, ready to check and send to print.

Do I need to use FotoPal Sports to use FotoPal Templates?

No. FotoPal Templates is being built as a product in its own right, for studios on any workflow, with its own account and sign-in at templates.fotopal.ai. Studios on FotoPal Sports or FotoPal Schools already render their products with the same engine inside their console, so a template looks the same in both places.

How much will FotoPal Templates cost?

Pricing for FotoPal Templates has not been announced yet. It is still in development, and plans will be published before it opens to studios. Register interest and we will let you know when you can try it with your own templates, and what it will cost.
