FotoPal Sports · For sports and club photographers
Sports photography software that runs picture day and sells the photos.
FotoPal Sports is software for photography studios that shoot sports clubs. It runs picture day with QR player cards, iPad check-in and desktop capture, with or without venue internet, then sells team and individual photos to parents through the studio’s own branded online gallery, with prints fulfilled through FotoPal Lab.
Not on sale yet. FotoPal Sports is being prepared for its first studios.

01Features
What FotoPal Sports does
Picture day, without the clipboard
Each player gets a QR card printed with team and jersey number, never a name. Volunteers check players in on an iPad or phone, fix names and numbers, and send each player to a station.
- FotoPal Capture for Mac and Windows tags every frame to the player in front of the camera
- Camera FTP receiver for Canon, Nikon and Sony bodies
- Players who are not registered are added on the day and flagged for the studio
- Every roster change on the day lands in one “Picture day changes” list
Works when the venue Wi-Fi doesn’t
Capture keeps shooting with no connection, and check-in changes queue and send when it returns. Run it straight to the cloud, promote any capture laptop to a hub with one click, or add FotoPal Hub for big days.
A gallery parents can actually order from
Parents open a private link from the studio, see watermarked previews of their child’s photos, and preview each product with their child’s name on it before they pay.
- Name fixes with a live preview and a fit check that never cuts a name short
- Early-bird pricing and prepaid packages
- Prints ordered at checkout and sent to the lab
- The studio is the merchant: receipts carry its name and ABN, paid through Stripe
The studio’s brand, not ours
Every studio gets its own gallery address, studio-name.fotopalsports.com, and parents use the one FotoPal Sports app with the studio’s club code. A custom domain for the gallery is part of a paid branded package.
A portal for the club
Club admins, club viewers and team managers each see what their role allows. The studio can share a percentage, flat amount or tiered fundraising share of sales with each club, with statements the club can read.
More than the team photo
Team composites and cards come from the template builder, with Photoshop PSD import and each club’s own fonts. A player’s photos from season to season build into a profile for re-orders and “Through the years” prints.
02How it works
How FotoPal Sports works
- 01
Set up the club
Import the club’s player list from a spreadsheet, or let parents register with the club’s code. Publish the products and prices for that club.
- 02
Run picture day
Players arrive with QR cards, check in on an iPad and go to a station. Capture tags each frame to the right player as it is shot.
- 03
Process the photos
Frames are cut out on the studio’s own machines and dropped into the club’s team and individual templates, ready for checking.
- 04
Parents order
Each family gets a private gallery link. They preview products with their child’s name, fix a spelling if they need to, and pay the studio.
- 05
Print and deliver
Print orders go to the lab, batched by team or club for hand-out. Digital downloads are delivered from the gallery.

04Questions
Questions about FotoPal Sports
Plain answers to what studios ask us first. Something else? Email support@fotopal.ai.
Do I need to buy a Mac mini to use FotoPal Sports?
No. Studios can run FotoPal Sports with the laptops they already shoot with: the laptops upload straight to the cloud and check-in iPads pair with the cloud. Any capture laptop can also be promoted to a hub with one click. FotoPal Hub, a Mac mini with a travel router and storage, is an optional paid add-on for bigger days.
What happens if the venue internet drops on picture day?
Shooting carries on. FotoPal Capture keeps working without a connection, and check-in changes made on iPads queue and send when the connection returns. With a laptop hub or FotoPal Hub, check-in runs over the local network, so nothing waits on the internet at all. The camera still records to its own card as a backup.
Who gets paid when a parent orders?
The studio. Parents pay the studio directly through Stripe, so the studio is the merchant of record and every receipt carries the studio’s name and ABN. FotoPal’s share and any lab’s wholesale amount are handled within that same checkout, so the studio is not invoiced separately for each order.
Can a club earn a fundraising share from photo sales?
Yes. The studio sets each club’s share as a percentage of sales, a flat amount or tiers, and the club can see its sales and statement in its portal. Shares are currently paid by the studio by bank transfer or offset; automatic payouts are not switched on yet.
Are children’s names printed on player cards or labels?
No. Player cards carry a QR code with the team and jersey number, never a name, and print labels use an anonymous player reference unless the studio chooses to show names. Gallery previews are watermarked and limited in size, and full-resolution photos are only released after purchase.
Can parents fix the spelling of their child’s name?
Yes. In the gallery a parent can correct a spelling everywhere, choose a preferred name, or change the name on one product only. They see a live preview of the product with the new name, a fit check stops a name from being cut short, and they confirm it before ordering.
How much does FotoPal Sports cost?
Pricing for FotoPal Sports is agreed with each studio and is not published yet. Studios moving to FotoPal Sports from another platform are offered an introductory package to make switching easy. Register interest and we will talk you through what it would look like for your studio and your clubs.
Does FotoPal Sports handle event photography too?
Event work such as shows and festivals is planned as FotoPal Events, on the same platform: an on-site kiosk where guests find their photos, a counter for card and cash payments, and on-site printing. It is not on sale yet. Register interest in FotoPal Sports and mention events if that is your work.
