What is FotoPal?
FotoPal is booking, AI editing, delivery and invoicing for real estate photographers, in one system. Agents book themselves from your link against your real calendar, with drive time already counted. You drop the RAW brackets; FotoPal merges and enhances them, proofs them for your approval, and puts photos, floor plans, video and copy on one branded gallery page. The invoice writes itself off the booking in the studio’s currency, every line with its GST or sales tax and Xero code, and the gallery unlocks when the money lands. FotoPal Studio runs the shoot day on iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch and CarPlay; FotoPal Agent gives your agents their own app; FotoPal Vision is on the App Store for Apple Vision Pro. Made in Adelaide by a photographer still on the tools, it is the platform Jeff Richardson built to run his own studio, JR Photo and Video. For studios in Australia, New Zealand and the United States. Who is FotoPal for?
Four kinds of people use it, and each sees only what they should.
- Real estate photography studios with more than one photographer: dispatch board, drive times, auto-scheduling, office logins, per-agency billing and contractor pay (Studio Pro and Studio Pro Plus).
- Solo real estate photographers: the Free plan for 5 listings a month, or Studio for agent self-booking, the field app and 100 AI-edited photos a month.
- Real estate agents, their assistants and office staff: booking against real availability, documents to the photographer, one branded gallery per listing, the FotoPal Agent app.
- Homeowners and vendors: a separate page for the listing that never shows a price.
What platforms and apps does FotoPal run on?
The studio runs in a browser; the shoot day runs in native Apple apps. FotoPal Studio and FotoPal Agent are coming soon to Google Play. FotoPal Studio works offline and syncs when signal returns. Spatial video can be recorded in FotoPal Studio on an iPhone 15 Pro or later; spatial photos and video are stored byte for byte and viewed in depth in FotoPal Vision.

How much does FotoPal cost?
Four plans. Australian prices include GST (10%); New Zealand prices: no GST is charged; US prices are before tax. Annual billing is 10 months’ price for twelve months, paid up front. Every paid plan starts with 30 days of every feature, no card; the Free plan is free for good. On Free, AI editing needs a card on file.

What do the AI extras cost?
Extras are billed as used, on a running tally in the plan’s currency, charged in A$50 / NZ$50 / US$50 steps. AI-edited photos beyond the plan’s monthly allowance are priced per plan (table above). Every attempt at an AI edit counts. Floor plan drawing is never charged by FotoPal: the studio’s own floor plan account bills for it.

What are the per-listing packages?
A package is sold by the studio to an agency as a product in the studio’s store, at a price the studio sets. FotoPal charges the studio its wholesale price once per listing, the first time anything the package covers is used; a package never used is never charged. Store prices are set before the studio’s tax (GST, or sales tax in the US); FotoPal’s AUD prices include GST, no GST is charged on its NZD prices, and its USD prices are before tax.

How are currency, GST and sales tax handled?
FotoPal’s own prices: Australian-dollar prices include Australian GST (10%); no GST is charged on New Zealand-dollar prices; US-dollar prices are shown before tax, with any sales tax added at checkout. Subscriptions are paid in advance and renew on the anniversary of the first payment.
The studio’s own invoices to agencies go out in the studio’s own currency — AUD, NZD or USD, with the studio’s own tax: GST at 10% in Australia, GST at 15% in New Zealand, and sales tax at the studio’s own rate in the US, labelled as tax, not GST. Every line carries its tax and Xero account code, travel and no-show fees are their own lines, each agency has its own billing cycle, and pay-before-release can hold a gallery until the invoice is paid.
Where is FotoPal’s data held?
As stated in the Privacy Policy: the application database and sign-in run on Supabase; hosting and the storage of photographs, plans and video are on Cloudflare, with R2 for media; data is encrypted in transit and at rest; access is role-based within each studio; API keys and tokens are stored as encrypted secrets. Some providers are located outside Australia and are used on terms requiring protection equivalent to Australian privacy law.

FotoPal is a registered business name of JR Photo and Video Pty Ltd (ABN 15 677 761 787), Adelaide, South Australia. It was built to run the company’s own real estate photography studio, JR Photo and Video, and is sold to studios in Australia, New Zealand and the United States.
